How to Choose a correct NGK SPARK PLUG Part Number.

HOT TYPE 🔥🔥 COLD TYPE ❄️❄️

The reason of why you have to choose a correct SPARK PLUGS Part Number?

1. OVER HEATING

When a spark plug overheats, deposits
that have accumulated on the insulator
tip melt and give the insulator tip
a glazed or glossy appearance.
Overheating is due to over-advanced
ignition timing, deposits in combustion
chamber. Air/fuel mixture is too lean.

Recommendation :
Check the ignition timing, air/fuel mixture and as well as the condition of the engine. Change spark plugs.

2. CARBON FOULING

Wet Carbon fouling
Too much oil in combustion chamber.
Oil is leaking past worn valve guides
or pistons rings.
Recommendation :
Correct the mechanical condition
with necessary repairs (engine overhaul)
Change spark plugs.

Dry Carbon fouling
Mixture setting is too rich, the air filter
is dirty. Long time idling. Spark Plug
heat range is incorrect.
Recommendation :
Make sure the spark plug has the correct
heat range. Check for clogged air filter
or problem in fuel system or engine
management system.

An engine’s condition can be judged by the spark plug’s fi ring end appearance. If the fi ring end of a spark plug is brown or light gray, the condition can be judged to be good and the spark plug is functioning correctly. Normal life (Life in case of normal use)

A worn spark plug not only wastes fuel but also strains the whole ignition system because the expanded gap requires higher voltage. It also reduces the engine’s effi ciency, resulting in reduced fuel economy and increased exhaust emissions. Moreover, it contributes to pollution generated by exhaust gas.
